Secretlab, some also write “Secret Lab”, is a gaming chair brand from Singapore. It was founded in 2014, and the first models were available on the market in the following year. The models of this brand are distinguished by the quality of the products and decent prices at the same time due to the exclusive sale in its own store.

The two founders Ian and Alaric are two passionate Starcraft players, who one day had little pleasure with their seats while gaming and therefore came up with the idea to establish their own brand and sell chairs as they would like them. This has resulted in 3 series so far, the TITAN EVO series, the OMEGA series and the TITAN series. These series range in price between $335-530.

Secretlab TITAN - For gamers from 165cm-205cm

The TITAN is the flagship of the Secretlab brand, so the absolute premium model with the most features. Fully equipped with massive space and many possible designs.

Especially with the very flat side panels, this Secretlab chair is particularly suitable for gamers who weigh a bit more and are looking for space. However, “normal” builds will also find room on it. For lightweights under 70kg, one of the lower chairs is better suited.

Secretlab OMEGA - For gamers from 165cm-185cm

The OMEGA is the middle model from Secret Lab’s trio. Compared to the TITAN not soo much is missing, apart from space and a variable lumbar support. In addition, other rollers are included.

In terms of size, this model is in the midfield. If you are too tall or heavy, you should opt for a higher class. Compared to the THRONE, we have installed a better rocker mechanism.

I am absolutely sure that Secretlab will position itself very strongly in Germany in the future. Currently, the main business is probably abroad, but the German market is asking more and more for the solid chairs of this manufacturer. Not for nothing, by the way, the chairs are almost constantly sold out!

My favorites are OMEGA and TITAN. You can easily reach for these chairs if you are looking for a cool chair of decent quality. And note the many design options open to you here: There are constantly changing special editions.

DXRacer Racer1 Review

The DX Racer1 in the test: A real bargain?

Ever since gaming chairs have been available on the German market, the Racer1 has been an absolute bestseller in the relevant stores. This chair owes its popularity mainly to its low price. You can buy the DX Racer1 for a good $330 – but what can you expect for this money? Chairs in this price range usually don’t meet my demands for a real gaming chair. Find out if the Racer 1 is an exception in this review, including video, size & purchase guide!

Since the DX Racer 1 originally comes from the DXRacer Formula series, the key data of these models largely match. However, there are small differences here and there:

First impression after unpacking

Compared to the DXRacer King, the package was noticeably lighter – no wonder, since the K-Series is quite a bit more massive and larger. Let’s take a look at what I found inside:

The view is certainly quite familiar to one or the other. At second glance, the first differences to high-priced chairs stand out:

The casters are noticeably smaller, but still just as smooth-running and functional as those of other chairs.
The base is made of nylon – a plastic – rather than aluminum. No problem, as it still easily carries 100kg.
The upholstery of the backrest seems a bit thinner than on expensive chairs. Does this make a difference? More about that in a moment!

The overall picture is quite positive and the parts do not seem less valuable than those of chairs that are 100 or 200 dollar above the Racer 1. The important support cushions for the neck and lumbar spine are also included and in the usual DXRacer quality.

The structure

DXRacer recommends the assembly in pairs, but this is also no problem alone. It took me a good 10 minutes to completely assemble the Racer 1. Overall, the assembly was a bit faster than usual. This was mainly due to the fact that the screws of the backrest – which often cost the most time – were super easy to screw in.

Test sitting - is it worth buying?

I found the feeling when I first sat in it surprisingly good. The fabric cover feels very pleasant and the upholstery is also adequate. Contrary to my original assumption, the backrest is sufficiently padded – there is not much body weight on it.

Both the neck and lumbar cushions are covered with PU leather and can be adjusted in height, as is usual with other chairs. So everyone can find the optimal setting for their stature.

The armrests can be adjusted in height at the touch of a button. The lever that can be seen allows the backrest to be tilted back and forth – an angle between 90 and 135 degrees is possible.

The armrests are curved, as with many AKRacing chairs. The plastic is soft on the surface so that the elbows are comfortably padded.

The side-mounted lever can be used to lock or unlock the rocker function. The seat height is also adjusted with this lever.

Fabric covers have become quite rare in the meantime. It is therefore all the more pleasing that the Racer1 has been equipped with this breathable surface material. The cover feels very pleasant and promises a decent seating climate.

Size & weight - for whom is the Racer 1 suitable?

Apart from appearance and price, the stature of the sitter must of course also fit the chair. Therefore, I generally recommend everyone to take a quick look at my size advisor before buying.

Like other chairs of the F-Series, I recommend the Racer 1 for heights between 165cm and 190cm. Your stature should be in the range of slim to average. The maximum load capacity is 100kg.

My conclusion to the DX Racer 1 test

Let’s summarize: The casters are a bit smaller, but just as good as those of more expensive chairs. The base is not made of aluminum, but of nylon – which is also not a problem, since the look is good and the load capacity is at least 100 kg. The upholstery proved to be flawless in the practical test and the fabric cover is comfortable as well as breathable.

AKRacing Core Ex Wide in test: My experience with the Core Series!

Today I tested the AKRacing Core Ex Wide with great anticipation. The manufacturer AKRacing has worked on its models namely: Both qualitatively some things have changed, as well as in the product variety. Thus, only 2 series will be offered in the future: The Master and the Core Series, in which there are again several models to choose from. This is to create clarity in the product range, which I think makes a lot of sense.

With this review, I would like to share my experiences with the AKRacing Core Ex Wide. The chair comes from the Core Series, which offers significantly cheaper models than the new Master Series. Core Ex Wide in test

I’ll take up the content from the video again in this review and deepen it with high-resolution images. I will now show you in detail what the AKRacing Core Ex Wide has to offer, so you can get an impression of the seating feel, quality, functionality and workmanship.

Dimensions of the Ex Wide from the Core Series

The name suffix “Wide” reveals what distinguishes the Ex Wide from the standard Ex: The dimensions. It offers a lot of space in the width for gamers who need it. The dimensions are almost identical to the AKRacing Master Pro, which I also tested.

Only the seat depth is 5cm shorter here, which makes the Ex Wide also suitable for smaller people. In terms of price, therefore, a super alternative to the Master Pro.

Here you can see: With my 189cm height, I fit very well on the chair. I can easily form a 90° angle between my upper and lower legs and my thighs are comfortably supported.

Even my test person with a height of 167cm still sits well on this chair. The seat depth fits her leg length. 1-2cm more wouldn’t hurt, but the seat depth is still within reason here. It was different with the Master Pro, which was too tall for her. I would not reach under a height of 167cm to the Ex Wide.

Design: Simple or colorful, but chic

Design-wise, the Core Ex Wide seems to be a successor to the Prime Series or AKRacing’s 7012. The color accents are exactly the same here and I think the chair still looks very nice.

Base: metal

The base is made of metal and is not further painted. However, I also like the metal look.

63.5mm large rollers

The casters are normal-sized here. Sometimes larger casters are used for gaming chairs, but I don’t notice any advantages of larger casters, so this point should be considered absolutely neutral.

The rollers run well & are not too noisy.

Practical test: Features of the AKRacing Core Ex Wide

Let’s take a look at how the chair fares in terms of functionality. Compared to its predecessors, AKR has finally stepped up a notch with the new series and brought the models to a new level.

The rocker function...

… is not noticeable, like in the higher-priced Master Pro, for example. However, it is positive that a rocker function is available at all.

This also works flawlessly so far. The resistance of the rocker mechanism can be adjusted underneath the seat.

Short break? Tilt backrest 180

If you want to take a special rest, simply adjust the backrest backwards by up to 180° in relation to the seat.

Then you can lie down horizontally and close your eyes.

Despite the low price, 180° is possible. Some manufacturers only install backrests that can be tilted up to 135°.

Rare: A chair with fabric cover

Most of the models come with PU leather. But just like Nitro Concepts with the S300, AKRacing still offers gamers the option to order chairs with fabric covers – commendable! Fabric covers have the property of being able to breathe better than PU chairs.

So you might sweat less on a fabric cover than on PU, although the PU covers of premium models already have very good breathing properties – at least I’ve never sweated excessively on a PU chair.

Lumbar and neck pillows also with fabric cover

Although PU may look better than fabric, I prefer lumbar and neck pillows covered with fabric.

They are softer and give more when you lean on them. Therefore, for me a clear advantage that the cushions of the AKRacing Core Ex Wide are covered with fabric.

Armrest upgrade: From 1D to 3D

While the previous models only allowed you to adjust the height of the armrests, you now have 3 directions in which you can adjust the armrests of the Core Ex Wide.

A sensible upgrade that brings the Core Ex up to date.

Comfort: Good despite low price?

The Core Ex Wide is available for around $250 and is thus one of the cheaper models in the premium chair class. Does that mean you have to compromise on seating comfort? Nope. I find the Core Ex Wide super comfortable. Despite the fact that less foam is used here than in the Master Series chairs, I don’t feel any differences in seating comfort.

I feel comfortably cushioned and supported. The cushion seems a bit softer than the noblechairs chairs, but at the same time a bit harder than the Master Pro. In any case, I sit excellently on this and can adjust the chair well together with the 3D armrests. Only a locking function for the rocker mechanism can top that, but at the price it is absolutely justifiable that this function is missing.

Conclusion: Nothing negative to report – on the contrary: For the price, I sit exceptionally well here.

5 year warranty? My comments on this:

In the stores you will see that they advertise an extraordinary 5-year warranty. I would like to say a few words about this. This is what it says in the warranty guidelines under the point “Exclusions”:

The present warranty conditions and other warranties do not apply in the following cases:

Normal wear and tear that is to be expected over time.

Incorrect or improper use or excessive stress on the product.

Normal, i.e. not excessive use, is considered here to be a 40-hour working week. Calculated over 7 days, that’s just under 6 hours a day – so it shouldn’t be a problem. More important to me is the normal, expected wear and tear. If after 4 years there is a seat dent in your chair, I strongly assume that this is considered normal, expected wear and tear and you have no claim for replacement.

So in my eyes, the 5-year warranty refers more to the base, casters, armrests and cover, which is definitely more than the competition. Even though I am hardly aware of any cases of damage to the aforementioned components, we have an advantage here compared to all other manufacturers I know. The exclusion criteria should still be taken into account.

Core Ex Wide: Buy or keep looking?

I can recommend you without reservation to buy the Core Ex Wide from AKRacing. At the very reasonable price I miss absolutely nothing with this chair. Whether 4D or 3D armrests does not make the world for me and whether I can determine the rocker function is also pretty much the same for me at the price. Especially for wider gamers, the chair is therefore very suitable: A model with more space that does not cost directly over $400.

Are there alternatives?

The only competitor I can think of here is the S300 from Nitro Concepts. Price-wise, the two are about the same. The differences: The S300 offers 135° backrest angle compared to 180° for the Ex Wide. The dimensions are comparable for both chairs, with the S300 offering a maximum of 1-2.5cm less space in the relevant places than the Ex Wide. The AKRacing Master Pro review is here! And with it some news about the AKRacing brand, which is probably the best-known gaming chair brand next to DXRacer. AKRacing has completely revised its product range. From now on, they want to focus on 2 series that are aimed at gamers: The Master Series and the Core Series. In this way, they want to prevent an estimated 790 different models from being offered in the future, with no one being able to see through their features. Very good consideration!

So in this review, I’d like to share with you my experience with the AKRacing Master Series, which is the successor to the AKRacing ProX, and tell you whether or not I think you should buy the chair. Test: What the chair can do in detail

Here we go, I’ll guide you through the review with a bunch of high-resolution pictures. I already explain and show most of it in the video of the Master Pro, but a few detailed photos will surely interest you.

The dimensions of the Master Pro from AKRacing

The dimensions are very generous, as you can see in the graphic. The chair offers decent space, both in the width of the backrest, as well as in the width of the seat. I with my 189cm height and current 85kg combat weight have enough space. The Master Pro would even fit if I weighed 20kg more. By the way, it is loadable up to 150kg.

The seat is particularly deep on this model, about 5cm deeper than the Core Ex Wide.

For me, this is very comfortable because my thighs are well supported. However, this becomes problematic for gamers who are much smaller than me. 2-finger widths of space are recommended between the end of the seat and the leg, and you should also be able to form a 90° angle with the back of the knee.

However, I do not succeed in this, as can be seen in the photo of my test person with 167cm height and 55kg body weight, although apart from that she sits well on the chair. The minimum height is therefore rather 175cm-180cm.

Design: A real gaming chair

I especially like that about the Pro models, which I already found cool in the ProX: The super modern design with the color play of black and white. AKRacing succeeds extraordinarily well with the racing look.

The base is made of aluminum, which makes it very stable.

Within 5 years you even have the guarantee that parts like the base remain intact. With the white finish, it also looks very chic.

76mm large rollers

The casters, at 76mm in size, are the largest casters I’ve ever seen on a gaming chair.

They look very powerful, so design-wise a cool thing – purely functional, however, the size of the rollers should not play a “role”… Bangers!

Practical test: Functions of the AKRacing Master Pro

The range of functions of the Master Series has been expanded considerably compared to the previous models. The rocker mechanism can do more than before and the foam and leather are said to have improved as well.

Lockable rocker function

AKRacing’s old models did have a rocker mechanism, but it could not be locked in any position.

This has now changed. A new rocker mechanism is used, which also allows the laptop to be locked in any position. You can see the rocker mechanism in action in the video.

Backrest can be tilted 180° to the seat surface

AKRacing sticks to its 180° that you can tilt the backrest in relation to the seat.

This lever allows you to tilt the backrest.

Some manufacturers only allow 130-140°. So if you want to crash on your Master Pro, you can do that.

Perforated faux leather cover

The chair is upholstered in perforated PU leather, which noblechairs also offers for the ICON, EPIC and HERO. I like that very much, because it makes a great impression both visually and haptically.

The cover is tightly strung, virtually nothing can be grabbed from the cover.

AKR has worked on the quality of the cover in particular: And that’s a good thing. While the cover of the ProX partially lost its shape after 1.5 years of use, this should not happen with the new Master Pro. It is praiseworthy that old weaknesses have also been eliminated.

Lumbar & Neck Pillow, Arched Backrest

Lumbar and neck cushions must not be missing and are included with the AKRacing Master Pro. Every owner of this chair should consider whether they need the lumbar cushion: Because the backrest is already pre-curved in the lumbar area and already supports the lumbar sufficiently, if you do not have a pronounced hollow back. So possibly you can do without the pillow here, which I consider a clear advantage. Neck pillows that are covered with PU are sometimes a little too rigid for me. I think fabric would be even better here.

From 2D to 4D armrests

The armrests are adjustable in 4 directions for the first time, while the predecessor only allowed 2D, i.e. 2 adjustable directions.

Additionally, you’ll find soft plastic on the surfaces of the armrests, which cushions the elbow pleasantly. Only the ▷Backforce One Plus, which offers padded backrests, does a better job. In this respect: The armrests leave nothing to be desired in this price range.

Seat comfort: Master Pro or rather Low?

Creative headlines are my forte, aren’t they? No, honestly: I sit great on the Master Pro. Nothing presses where it shouldn’t and I don’t lack support anywhere. I use the chair without the lumbar cushion. The cushion is pleasantly soft, softer than the noblechairs chairs. I can sit well on both types of cushion but not everyone does. Note: You sit comfortably soft on the Master Pro.

In combination with the tiltable backrest, the lockable rocker function and adjustable armrests, it is easy to find your optimal sitting position. Comfort-wise, the Master Pro is on the same level as the top models from DXRacer and noblechairs – so there’s nothing to complain about. There is only one chair on which I have sat better so far: And that is the Backforce, which, however, also costs more.

Conclusion regarding my experience with the seating feeling: It sits well on this model without any problems.

Height: I recommend this chair for tall gamers from 175cm – 205cm tall!

Master Pro: To buy or not?

In general, I can make a purchase recommendation for the Master Series from AKRacing. As already described, the chair is functionally up to date, AKRacing has revised the chair in terms of quality and the seat feel is also great. From the pure properties consequently a good match – but the price bothers me.

Criticism: Price-performance ratio

The only thing I don’t like about the chair is the price-performance ratio. I personally find the Master Pro a bit too expensive compared to other models from AKR and the competition. DXRacer shows the same phenomenon: The top models cost very quickly over $ 400, sometimes it even goes over $ 500. I do not see these prices justified at the moment.

5 year warranty? My comments on this:

The present warranty conditions and other warranties do not apply in the following cases:

Normal wear and tear that is to be expected over time.

Incorrect or improper use or excessive stress on the product.

Alternatives from AKRacing

For example, I find the AKRacing Master Premium more attractive in price. The chairs do not differ apart from the dimensions. The Master Pro has the more generous dimensions, but the Master Premium costs e less. The wider gamers will therefore have to reach for the Master Pro, but if you are not too wide, you can take the Premium, as long as it appeals to you in terms of design.

I think it’s a bit of a shame that even in the gaming chair sector, plus-size models are becoming so expensive. I’m used to this because shoe retailers always rip me off with my 47.5 shoe size, but it’s still not nice.

Core Ex Wide

Otherwise, the Core Ex Wide comes into question. This costs about $200 less. Cuts: Instead of 4D only 3D, the rocker function is available, but not fixable and there is less foam used, but I do not feel when sitting. It is covered with fabric and in my opinion it does not look quite as cool as the Master Pro, but costs a lot less and offers just as much space in width as the Master Pro. More: ▷ Core Ex Wide Test

Alternatives from other manufacturers

ICON & HERO from noblechairs are direct competitors in terms of price-performance. The ▷ ICON is available for $345, the ▷ HERO for $365. Both are also loadable up to 150kg. The only differences are that the steel frame is not painted and the backrests can be tilted by 135° instead of 180°. The HERO, however, offers a continuously adjustable lumbar support. So you have to weigh up which functions are important to you at what price.

Nitro Concepts S300 Test: New star in the sky for fabric and PU lovers & fear opponent for the Racer 1?

Finally, the German gaming chair company with the catchy name Nitro Concepts brings a new model into the game – the S300. This is the current top model of this brand. The previously released chairs E220 Evo, E200 Race and C80 are in the absolute entry-level range with a price of less than 200$, and the new flagship S300 is still an absolute bargain at around 233$.

What’s also special is that the chair shines with an extremely rare fabric cover, if you will. However, it has also been available with imitation leather since 2019. The Nitro Concepts S300 in practice test

Before we get to the final comparison of the S300 vs. the Racer1, I’ll first take you through my practical test and describe the impressions I’ve gained on the Nitro Concepts S300 over the past few months. This will be followed as usual by size & purchase advice – so stay tuned!

The structure of the S300 in the test

Normally, I skip this almost always the same part, but with a chair from the cheaper price segment, there are not a few black sheep in terms of assembly. I’ll be brief and say that the assembly of the S300 was absolutely comfortable. As with noblechairs & Co. only very few parts have to be assembled, most of it is pre-assembled.

There is another way: with inexpensive chairs, everything usually comes in individual parts. This is not dramatic if you have to do it only 1x, but it is more comfortable pre-assembled. Even the often so awkward fastening of the backrest was quickly done by hand.

50mm big standard rollers

Let’s start at the bottom today: At 50mm, the nylon casters are slightly smaller than those of premium chairs from noblechairs, for example. Does that make a difference?

Not really. They roll thanks to PU coating easily as well as quietly and look high quality. The roller size is completely indifferent to me. Is not a cart on which you need fat rims.

Base & gas lift - loadable up to 135kg!

The base is made of nylon rather than aluminum, as is the case with most lower-priced chairs – however, this specimen carries a whopping 135kg when combined with the Class 4 gas lift, which represents unparalleled stability in this segment.

The base of the S300 also looks better than comparable counterparts: It is more massive, sleekly shaped, and brightened up with colorful accents.

Rocking & tilting function of the Nitro Concepts S300

Of course, the S300 can be tilted (90 to 135 degrees) and also rocked (14 degrees). The mechanics run cleanly and do not have to hide behind even much more expensive models. The only difference to the competition in the higher-priced segment:

The rocking mechanism cannot be locked in every position. This is usually possible with chairs above the €300 mark. In my eyes, however, this is a feature that you can do without at this price.

Generous seat: fabric or PU leather?

Just like the PU cover, the fabric cover is absolutely cleanly finished. Side bolsters and seat are connected with a smooth transition, which ensures the greatest possible legroom and pleasantly soft lateral support. The fabric S300 is already almost 2 years old, my PU model comes from 2019. It looks like the side bolsters have become even flatter in the newer model.

The high-density cold foam feels very pleasant – it is nice and thick and the feel is reminiscent of a gel-like material. You can feel right away that this is a uniquely good quality in this price segment – more on that right away when you try it out.

Backrest: also enough space

The design of the backrest is not only visually but also ergonomically similar to the seat. There are also pleasantly soft transitions here – nothing presses and even wider gamers have enough room in the lumbar and shoulder areas.

The upholstery trumps with the same quality: It is noticeably thicker than in cheap chairs I have seen so far and feels incomparably higher-quality as well as more pleasant.

3D armrests with soft pad

The Nitro Concepts S300 is equipped with 3D armrests that can be moved forward/backward/up/down and rotated. At a glance, it becomes clear that they are setting new standards in terms of price-performance here as well:

They do not wobble excessively, look classy due to the black-coated metal, among other things, and offer a comfortable grip without getting red elbows due to soft arm pads.

Neck & lumbar pillow with soft fabric cover

The cushions of the S300 are almost on the level of nobelchairs. The big advantage is that the S300 also uses fabric cushions. These still offer a bit of adaptability to the user’s body shape. This is not the case with PU cushions – they are rather rigid.

The cover looks sturdy and feels pleasant on the skin. The cushion inside again reminds me strongly of gel – it is not, but the feeling when squeezing comes close to that of a gel cushion. In a price segment where you are otherwise only served with stiff PU cushions, this is a very welcome feature.

Seat comfort: My seat experiences on the S300

I have the S300 with fabric cover now since 2017, the model with PU cover came now in 2019. In the meantime, I have certainly sat on the S300 for a few months in total, but since I cannot test all chairs at the same time, I often give the chairs to friends or family for long-term experience values.

When I sat down on the S300 for the first time in 2017 without any expectations, I almost couldn’t believe that such an inexpensive chair could be so comfortable – because until now, chairs in this price range were really only rarely usable. I even like both cover variants. I’m used to PU anyway, and I like it very much here, too. But sitting on fabric also has its advantages, for example in breathability and temperature.

The combination of the high-quality feeling and haptically appealing fabric or PU cover with the unobtrusive ergonomic design of the chair offers an excellent sitting experience. Add to that the soft, cuddly cushions, and the seating comfort is suitably rounded off.

Nitro Concepts christens the chair’s construction the H.E.A.T. System – this lurid-sounding abbreviation stands for Health Enhancing Adjustment Technology. Even though I smiled at this a bit during my initial research, it now seems somehow appropriate to give this surprisingly great seating experience a name.

Armrests and adjustment functions run cleanly, as previously mentioned, and allow the chair to be adjusted optimally. One is used to this from expensive models, but in the price segment that the S300 targets, I like to emphasize this again. Such high-quality and flexible armrests are by no means the rule.

Cross-legged on the S300

Many of us like to sit cross-legged on our chair. That’s why I made a photo where you can see how it feels to sit cross-legged on the S300 with 167cm and with 189cm.

It gets tight on me, my legs are on the edge but don’t slide down. The armrests are also far enough back, they don’t get in my way. My test person naturally has a bit more room due to the less voluminous body mass. So I think the cross-legged seat is fine here. However, I’m not the cross-legged type, but I think I can still judge it quite well.

Workmanship of the S300: Rather cheap or solid after all?

A few words about the workmanship. My Corsair T1 Race, for example, costs 280€ and the cover is full of wrinkles and uncleanly sewn. What about the even cheaper S300? I have had very good experiences here, much better than with the more expensive model from Corsair.

The cover is nice and tight. With a decent covering, there are then also virtually no wrinkles on the chair. This makes the S300 look very high-quality.

The seams here all sit exactly where they should. It was sewn wonderfully straight, there is no dropout here. The processing is absolutely convincing.

The embroidered logo also looks more than reasonable. Compare that with MC Racing 1 & 2 – the S300 is absolutely premium.

The duel: Racer1 vs. S300

The DX Racer1 is, as many know, the best-selling gaming chair in Germany – this is due to the combination of the big name DXRacer and the very low price of 200€. Until now, there was hardly any serious competition in the segment, which has changed with the release of the S300.

The armrests of the S300 not only have 2 more directions, but they look higher quality, are padded and feel much better in practice.
The S300 appears noticeably more robust not only visually, but also in use.
The padding on the S300 hugs the body better and is thicker at the same time – on the Racer1, your fingers touch when you press your thumb and index finger together on one of the wings.
The fabric cover is softer and more velvety on the S300. While the Racer’s cover feels rather plastic-heavy in comparison, the S300 offers a real fabric experience.
The dimensions are more generous on the S300, and the shaping – especially around the seat with the side bolsters merging into it – allows even heavier, wider gamers to sit comfortably on the Nitro Conepts Chair.
The cushions of the S300 are also in a completely different league than those of the Racer1: Both the soft, cuddly padding and the fabric cover mercilessly outshine the PU cushions of the Racer.

For a little more, you get the Nitro Concepts S300, a gaming chair that is far superior to the Racer1 in my opinion. Anyone who now still reaches for the economy model because of pseudo-brand prestige & one less bill has only themselves to blame.

My conclusion to the Nitro Concepts S300 test

The S300 not only leads Nitro Concepts’ flagship lineup, but it’s my insider tip for all gamers on a tighter budget.

Features that I was previously only used to from much more expensive gaming chairs, such as the high-quality 3D armrests or the very generous, thick padding, make the S300 particularly attractive in combination with the highest-quality fabric cover I have tested so far.

Add to that the cushions, the generous dimensions paired with the high load-bearing capacity, the comfortable, high-quality cold foam upholstery and, last but not least, the harmonious colorful or simply elegant look – the S300 is my number 1 in the lower price segment and the first choice for fabric lovers.

S300 size advice

Like most chairs, the S300 is designed for the average gamer, but it also comfortably accommodates more corpulent gamers thanks to the unobtrusive side bolsters and somewhat more generous dimensions. The fitting complement to this is the load capacity, which is rated at 135kg.

I would recommend the S300 for gamers who are between 1.65m and 1.90m tall and weigh up to a good 110kg. Depending on the height-weight combination and the resulting stature, some of you will certainly be able to sit comfortably at 120kg – of course, this can never be 100% narrowed down.

Noblechairs HERO Review: My experience with the new model!

I’ve been looking forward to this day: The new noblechairs HERO is on the market and joins the ranks as the third in a series of extremely high-quality and impressively good-looking chairs. Here is my HERO test!

After ICON and EPIC were already great successes, this time the manufacturer “noblechairs”, known for its high quality and yet affordable prices, relies on a concept that offers even more space for the occupant of his throne. The HERO is in fact the largest chair of the now 3 available models, without becoming outrageously expensive.

But that’s not all: There’s another innovation that I’m very excited about: the adjustable lumbar support. Lumbar cushions are unnecessary here for the first time because a completely variable lumbar support is used, just like in a sports car. Be curious what else I have to say about this chair.

Test: Is the HERO convincing in detail?

I will now guide you through the test report bit by bit with high-resolution images. I’ll revisit all the features mentioned in the video with detailed images. Only a few more minutes between you and a meaningful impression of the new HERO.

Size advice: dimensions of the noblechairs HERO

The dimensions here once again exceed those of the already generous ICON. I once had two very massive gamers in the office who had to choose between DXRacer King, AKRacing ProX and noblechairs ICON. Although the former two are built specifically for wider gamers, they both opted for the ICON, a chair that offers a lot of space.

The HERO is now even larger and the side bolsters at the edge are now so flat that no thigh will demand more space here. We also have even more space available in the back area than before. So definitely a chair for gamers who need more space – without being too expensive.

Height: My test person with 167cm height sits super on the chair – me with 189cm as well! I would set the limits at 165cm-205cm, whereby: are you smaller, you simply buy the -5cm gas spring! So you find even with 160cm still place on the Hero. Only the hard cushion can be too hard for very light people.

Design: Noble. Valuable. Elegant.

Noblechairs once again manages to create a symbiosis of racing and elegance. We still find a gaming chair in front of us, but one that will also please any boss. Because the chair surpasses the typical executive chair character once again and just looks classy.

The chair’s noble look is provided by its shape on the one hand, and on the other hand by the noble embroidery in a diamond pattern and the PU leather that has a high-quality feel to it.

The offered color variations also make a difference and always look elegant and not kitschy or squeaky.

Base: solid aluminum and powder coated

Even the rather unspectacular base is given a noble look with the powder coating.

Full aluminum is used as the material, which offers decent robustness and strength.

Smooth running 60mm rollers

The casters have remained fairly standard: 60mm plastic casters that glide quietly over hard and soft floors.

There are a few competitors who use even larger rollers. Basically, larger rollers run more easily than smaller ones. However, this is not really reflected in the size, especially since the rollers of the HERO are very quiet anyway.

Field test: Features of the noblechairs HERO

As already announced, the range of functions of the new model has been expanded once again. More space, more functions, more fun. Let’s take a look at what the HERO can do:

Lockable rocker function

As always, we find a rocker function that can also be locked in any position. A must for every premium chair. Below the seat is an adjustment wheel that allows you to adjust the resistance of the rocker function to your body weight. The rocking mechanism runs smoothly and works.

Backrest tiltable (135°) 125°

With a lever on the right side of the chair you can tilt the backrest backwards.

An angle of 135° to the seat surface is possible here and sufficient in my eyes, among other things because I rarely use this function. Some manufacturers offer here up to 180 °, but for me the 135 ° are sufficient.

Update: In the meantime, according to the store, it is only 125°.

Perforated PU cover, genuine leather or new breathable cover?

The noblechairs HERO is covered with PU or genuine leather. It goes without saying that the genuine leather version costs more money. I was able to test the EPIC in genuine leather and I liked the feel of it extraordinarily well.

However, those who don’t want to invest the money will certainly be satisfied with the perforated imitation leather cover: Because it feels very good and is extraordinarily thick with a thickness of 1.5mm and thus durable.

Lumbar and neck pillows? Yes, but…

Both cushions are included and are covered with soft fabric as usual, which makes the cushions much more comfortable than the rigid ones with PU-covered cushions. They fit much better.

As always, covered with a very soft, fluffy fabric and pleasantly compliant.

The neck pillow also still makes sense, but we do not need the lumbar pillow due to the new continuously adjustable lumbar support. Fortunately: Because lumbar pillows are the somewhat less elegant solution anyway, not least because they are usually much thicker than the user’s lordosis.

Because this can be adjusted by means of wheels on the edge of the backrest steplessly and individually to your loin.

The lumbar region at the bottom inflates as a result of the rotation.

When seated, it can be easily and quickly adjusted to your own lordosis.

Memory foam in headrest

Also new: Memory foam is used for the first time in the head area of the backrest.

This is supposed to provide a comfortable cushioning for the head. This also works very well as long as you do not use the neck pillow and lean back with the chair, for example when you relax and play games or watch videos. In comparison, it feels a bit softer with the foam in the headrest.

4D armrests

As always, the armrests can be adjusted in 4 directions (4D).

So, along with the other adjustment options, you’ll customize your chair just the way you want it.

The soft plastic on the armrest ensures that the elbows are comfortably padded and not irritated by constant friction.

Seating comfort: HERO or ZERO?

Creative headline, eh? In terms of seating comfort, I can look as long as I want, but I won’t find any criticism. As is typical for noblechairs, the upholstery is harder than that of the competition, but it is also particularly resistant to deformation. The upholstery of the Black Edition feels a bit softer, which will be due to the cover. Otherwise, there is firm upholstery here as usual.

Especially the new lumbar support, which makes the lumbar cushion completely unnecessary, makes for an excellent sitting experience. There’s basically no room for improvement here, apart from a synchro mechanism like on the Gamechanger or Backforce One perhaps, but that’s also only available for significantly more money.

Conclusion: Impeccable comfort features make sitting fun!

Conclusion: noblechairs HERO buy?

Absolutely. I see no reason why you shouldn’t reach for the HERO and order it if you like the design. The range of functions is quite large and is not inferior to the models of the competition in any way – on the contrary: With the new lumbar support and the memory foam in the headrest, we even get a feature here that is a real rarity on the market.

The price-performance ratio is also extraordinarily good: Where gamers who need more space had to spend sums beyond $400-500 so far, you can get the nobelchairs HERO for a very affordable $365 with a PU cover. And for $60 more, you even get a super breathable cover if you opt for the Black Edition. Conclusion: Recommended purchase!
